Check… Check... Is this thing on?

Well, well, well. I can already tell these blog posts are going to be a wildly fun time! For someone who grew up with access to a computer and didn’t really know a life without the internet, it might be surprising to know that I often feel like a fish out of water when it comes to making use of the many technologies in our world. Blogs, X, TikTok, Instagram, Vlogs, Snapchat, Facebook, Threads- the list can go on. And here I am, just a happy little bystander still getting confused when Instagram does a simple update to their layout.

Yet, this is where our world is going- no, this is where our world is. Now. These technologies can be great tools that can enhance our ability to connect, engage, and learn. What a privilege it is to have these resources, but also what a responsibility. I hope this course will allow me to stretch in my own Web 2.0 knowledge and find ways to utilize these resources rather than be intimidated by them. Let the adventure begin!
